    Weather in Yosemite National Park

    Yosemite National Park Weather
Weather can change rapidly during all seasons of the year in Yosemite. Elevation plays a major role in temperature and the amount of precipitation.
Most of the moisture comes in the early months of the year; January, February and March.
Summers in the Sierras are typically warm and dry. The months of April and November are transitional months, when warm, sunny days can suddenly become stormy cause you to seek shelter quickly.
Clouds and weather patterns can build up during the summer to produce wonderful thunderstorms, which is another reason why thousands of photographers visit Yosemite National Park every year.
It is wise to pack for any season with clothing that can be “layered,” ready to peel off or add on as the thermometer and the hygrometer (measures humidity) dictates.
Additionally, be sure to always include some kind of rain gear when visiting this climate, especially during moist and transitional months.
