Though much of the historical center of Dresden was destroyed in WWII, the city has largely been restored to its former glory and remains celebrated for its classic architecture. After a walk around the Old Town and a visit to the Frauenkirche, visit the modern Neustadt for artsy stores at Kunsthofpassage and a currywurst at Curry & Co—it’s one of the best in the country.
