Paris city

Paris, France's capital, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its picturesque 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Beyond such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower and the 12th-century, Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral, the city is known for its cafe culture, and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

Climate

September in Paris – everything comes out of summer vacation mode and a surge of energy falls over the city. The weather will still be lovely for the most part. Even so you could be hit by a random shower or two. Thus, carrying a small umbrella is not a bad idea. Average temperatures: 13 – 21°C (55 – 70°F). Light clothing is suitable with somewhat warmer clothing for possible colder days. 

Shopping

The shopping opportunities in Paris are endless. It is always possible to find something unique and affordable. Shops are generally open from 10.00 to 19.00 from Monday to Saturday, with specialist boutiques closing for an hour at lunch.
