Vienna

One of the greatest European capitals, for centuries Vienna was the stomping ground of the Habsburg rulers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The empire is long gone, but reminders have been carefully preserved by the tradition-loving Viennese. Past artistic glories live on, thanks to the cultural legacy of the many artistic geniuses nourished there including Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert, among other titans of classical music. However, Vienna is not all about culture and museums; there’s also very good cuisine, great nightlife, and quiet corners waiting to be explored.
